AB Breaks New Ground at Mapei Synthetic Turf Convention

We don't know why people keep inviting us to these things.

Recently, we were invited by Mapei to their annual synthetic turf event in Las Vegas, NV to converse and learn from the experts about turf and turf adhesives. Needless to say, it was a pretty big event and the "who's who" of Mapei personnel were on hand to greet us. We did our best not to screw it up... especially since that meant no more free food. Luckily, Rob Manriquez was paying attention and we asked him a few questions about what the show had to offer.

Familiar Product Returns to Set Future Standard for Adhesives

Just before the1980's, Adhesive technologies were limited to three types of products: Water-based (cold glues), Protein-bases (animal glues) and EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) hot melt adhesives. That's it! Much like soda choices, things were simple and not many cared to change the dynamic of the adhesive marketplace. Mostly because no other technologies were present or in the works. No one presented alternatives to EVA until early 1980.

WestPack 2012 is finally over and we had a great time attending the show! We also had fun co-hosting the booth with Glue Dots International; providing useful information to customers about the unlimited uses of Glue Dots brand adhesive products!
